First Andymation Newsletter

Hi!

Well, I think it’s about time I actually USE this email list I’ve got! If you’re getting this email it’s because at some point in the past few years you signed up for email updates on my website. That’s very cool of you, thank you. I feel bad that I haven’t been more engaged with email updates. But that’s going to change! (Have no fear though, I am not a fan of spam.)

If I am going to email you I want to make it useful and worth your time. So, whenever I send out an email newsletter, I’ll be sure to include a helpful tip, or give you a film recommendation, or show you a cool animation that someone made. Stuff that I hope inspires you.

I obviously also want to sell my products, like my brand new Signature Edition Flipbook Kit, and email newsletters are great for helping with that. 😉 So, once in a while I’ll send emails to highlight new products or announce promotions. I really don’t like being overly “sales-y,” so I’ll always try to include other useful fun info in those emails, too.

And on that note! I want to tell you guys about one of my all-time favorite short animated films. It’s called MORE and it was directed by Mark Osborne. I actually got to interview Mark one time, which was really cool (he directed The Little Prince and co-directed the first Kung Fu Panda movie.) Anyway, in 1998 he directed a short film called More, and I LOVED it with a passion before I became a professional animator (I still do.) It was nominated for an Academy Award… Anyway, it was a really inspiring short film for me, and lucky for you it’s available on YouTube! Here’s the link. If you like stop-motion it’s definitely worth your time.
