We are a lot like Frodo

With the extended deadline just three weeks away, Andy posted a 3-minute update video. If you haven’t yet, please give it a watch:

Frodo’s Journey Is Our Journey!

👞 Frodo left Rivendell with the Fellowship on December 25. 💍The One Ring was destroyed on March 25, three months after they began. And get this: Andy announced the Flipbook of the Rings three months ago! That means our fellowship parallels theirs!

We have just three weeks until the extended deadline. That might not seem like a lot of time but check out everything that happened during the last three weeks of Frodo’s journey:

• 🏴 Frodo tried to enter the Black Gate but decided instead to take the secret way.

• 🧝 Merry and Pippin reunited with Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas at Isengard.

• 🧙‍♂️ Gandalf took Pippin to Minas Tirith, where Pippin entered Denethor’s service. Merry marched with the Rohirrim. Aragorn took the Paths of the Dead.

• 🏊🏻 Frodo met Faramir and spared Gollum at the Forbidden Pool.

• 🕷️ Frodo and Sam faced Shelob. Frodo was captured then rescued by Sam.

• 🐴 The siege of Minas Tirith including the arrival of the Rohirrim, the death of the Witch King, and the arrival of Aragorn.

• 👿 Frodo and Sam pretended to be orcs to get through Mordor (“Where there’s a whip, there’s a way!”)

• ⚔️ Aragorn led the army of the West to do battle at the Black Gate.

• 🌋Sam carried Frodo to the Cracks of Doom.

Most of the four hour runtime of the extended edition of The Return of the King takes place during this three week period!

This is our final three weeks, the final push to finish what we started! As worn and battered as Frodo and Sam at the edge of Mount Doom, our noble pencil stubs bare witness of how far we’ve come!

And just as they persevered, so will we! We got this!
